Peru

Peru has been a source of extraordinary textile artistry for thousands of years. We work with a weaving cooperative in the Peruvian Highlands who are among the last guardians of Cusqueñan weaving traditions. These techniques were refined by Andean cultures long before the Inca Empire, and still passed down through families today. The result is work that carries the memory of the mountains in every thread.

The Peruvian Highlands
Keepers of the Andean Loom

The Cusqueñan textile tradition is one of the most sophisticated in the world. Using backstrap looms that have hardly changed over centuries, our weavers create intricate patterns that encode stories, cosmologies, and community identity. Each design becomes a living archive of Andean culture.

The cooperative we work with provides weavers with fair wages, preserves their heritage, and ensures this extraordinary knowledge survives for future generations. When you wear one of our Peruvian pieces, you carry something ancient and irreplaceable. From richly patterned throws and table textiles to wearable pieces that move beautifully, every item is entirely handmade, slow, considered, and entirely impossible to replicate by machine.
