Velvet Venetian Slippers Green
Handmade green cotton and rubber slipper shoe. The upper fabric is velvet, and the sole is made of hard-wearing and weather-resistant rubber.
Venetian slippers or ‘friulane’ were traditionally worn by countrymen in the Friuli countryside post World War II. They were then appropriated by gondoliers in Venice who chose to wear them so as not to ruin the paint of their precious gondolas.
Ours are produced by the finest artisans at Le Papú in the Friuli region. Handmade in Italy.
