MADE BY

Shicato x Muzungu Sisters

Shicato was created in Ecuador by Shirley, a social entrepreneur.

Shicato celebrates craftsmanship and collaborates with local artisans, especially women, to create work opportunities in rural areas where employment is scarce.

Pieces from Shicato are designed and made with the fundamental principle of conservation of artisan techniques, supporting local handcrafting and preserving cultures.

Shicato is an ethical women empowerment project, empowering women to make a better life for themselves, their families and their communities. Shicato also focuses on ecological responsibility and a fair and responsible industry. They believe in an industry that values people, creativity and ensures artisans receive equitable profits through their work.
