This sweater is made from 100% alpaca wool.
The artisans who custom-weave our Isle Llama sweaters form part of a cooperative that enables them to sustain their livelihoods by working solely to preserve thousand-year-old weaving techniques in the Peruvian highlands. Ultra-soft and luxurious, as well as being a hypoallergenic natural fibre, alpaca is one of the most comforting fibres to clothe oneself in. The yarn is dyed using natural dyes derived from plants and vegetables in order to accurately depict an intricate traditional Andean textile pattern. These alpaca sweaters are lovingly handknitted for us.

Artisans from Peru
Our Peruvian Jackets, Nilda Sweaters and Peruvian hats are sourced from Peruvian artisans. They form part of a cooperative that enables them to sustain their livelihoods by working solely to preserve this thousand year old weaving techniques in the Peruvian highlands, at the same time teaching a younger generation the skills to do the same.
