Yellow and olive drawstring bucket bag made from 100% fique grass, or Mexican agave fibre.
From Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the northeast of Colombia, the bags are woven by female members of the indigenous Kankuamo tribe. Once the fibres have been extracted, they’re washed and then bleached by the sun. The dye used to add different colourways come from local plants and tree barks ensuring the whole process is completely organic.
The mochila measures 19 cm (height) and 16 cm (diameter), 102 cm (strap)
