The dress is carefully handmade and hand-embroidered in India. The delicate embroidery is done by talented women embroiderers in Mumbai, India. Muzungu Sisters continues to value and champion hand-embroidery which is sadly a dying art due to the increased popularity of machine-embroidery.
Muzungu Sisters ensures that all the garments are produced in fully certified ethical production facilities exceeding ILO (International Labour Organisation) standards, or cottage industries of women working from home to sustain their livelihoods whilst looking after their families.
