Our Frangipani dress, in our Sugarcane print, is made of 100% OEKO-tex certified silk, featuring a V-neckline, three-quarter-length sleeves and criss-cross hand-embroidery along the neckline and sleeves.
Muzungu Sisters continues to value and champion hand-embroidery, which is sadly a dying art due to the increased popularity of machine-embroidery.
All our silks are 100% OEKO-TEX certified, this means that our fabrics are free from of all harmful chemicals and gentle on your skin.

Muzungu Sisters only uses natural sustainable and biodegradable materials that leave a minimal trace on our environment. Artisans from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, India
This garment is made by artisans in India. Muzungu Sisters continues to value and champion hand-embroidery, which is sadly a dying art due to the increase in popularity of machine-embroidery. The embroidery on these pieces has been done entirely by hand by talented women embroiderers in Lucknow and Mumbai, India.
The organic cotton is traditionally handwoven, and hand-loomed in one of the last remaining traditional mills of its kind in Tamil Nadu, South India, resurrecting ancient hand looming techniques unique to this region and empowering weavers to continue imparting their skills. The silks used are OEKO-tex certified.
