Multi-tonal dome shaped alpaca chullo hat featuring traditional historical weaving patterns, tassels and button embellishment.
Customarily worn by men and children in the Peruvian highlands, each hat features historical weaving motifs that are thousands of years old.
The artisans form part of a fair trade cooperative that enables them to sustain their livelihoods by working solely to preserve time-honoured weaving traditions and teaching a younger generation the skills to do the same. The pieces are all woven using natural fibers and coloured using natural dyes derived from plants and vegetables.
