The Mongolian sheep fur comes from Mongolian sheep farmed in a S herd in inner Mongolia. The sheep roam free every day, grazing upon miles of mountainous grassy hills. Eventually, the animals are used for the local meat industry and their wool is used to make warm winter coats such as those that the Mongolians have been wearing for thousands of years.
Muzungu Sisters only uses natural, sustainable and biodegradable materials that leave a minimal trace on our environment. Just as our pieces are designed to be kept for years to come, we believe in a conscious, conservative approach to consumption.
About this collection:
Our winter collection White Valley has us reminiscing a long walk in a secluded, yet enchanting snowy valley in the Alps. With a touch of Muzungu whimsy, the prints cover alpine florals, and Safavid miniatures of flowers alike. Our classic styles are supplemented with velvet sets, and new hand-beaded evening dresses. With a nod to mountain flora from Kashmir to Switzerland, the silk prints and ornately beaded soft velvets encompass all you will want to wear this winter.
