Rainbow-coloured dome-shaped wool chullo hat with tasseled ear-flaps and an additional oversized tassel to the top. The hat is hand-embroidered all over using white beads.
The pieces are all woven using natural fibers and coloured using natural dyes derived from plants and vegetables.
Worn ceremonially by Andean men in the Peruvian highlands, this beautiful piece features traditional weaving patterns and ornate embroidery. Of cultural significance in Quechua communities in Peru, such ornate examples are extremely difficult to track down.
